A little about myself...

About

A native Midwesterner, I’ve lived in New Jersey for the past 12 years. I live in a loud home filled with love and shenanigans with my husband, daughter and son, big cuddly dog and two kitties.

I’m a 200 RYT yoga teacher currently working on my 500 HR certification. I’m also certified in Children’s Yoga, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, Meditation, Yoga for Neurodivergence, Chair Yoga, and likely some other things I’m forgetting. I also have a BS in Linguistics and International Marketing from the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!), but it may be my theatre training I rely on most heavily day-to-day.

As a neurodivergent human myself and mom to neurodivergent kids and a son with an ultra-rare genetic mutation, inclusive communities are my jam. I teach yoga for all-abilities no matter what class I am teaching, and a large part of my students have support needs, meaning I teach adaptive/accessible classes on the regular.

I also teach classes on inclusive language and social emotional learning, and I consult on accessibility and disability needs. Check out my Class & Consultations Offerings page if you’d like to learn more.

Music fuels me, along with coffee, so you’ll often find me buzzing along singing to myself.  Feel free to interrupt me and say hi if you see me out in the wild, or, even better, join in the song!

I love to travel, both in real life and through the wonder of books. If you check out my blog or my IG feed, you’ll likely see mention of both from time to time. I love to learn about new cultures, hear new languages and music, try new foods, and learn about artistic expressions and celebrations. I always enjoy a good hike to get to know about my surroundings.

Like Mary Oliver’s “one wild and precious life”, I view my own as a journey. I never know quite where it will take me next, but I try to embrace each new adventure, learn and grow from every new experience, and find joy along the way. I’m so glad you’ve landed here to journey alongside me!
